DAY 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport

On your arrival at the Kilimanjaro International Airport, meet your driver/guide at an arrival lounge. After a brief introduction & orientation embark on a 45minutes – 1hour drive to the lodge in Arusha for overnight
at Kahawa house. (Bed & Breakfast Basis)

DAY 2: Northern Serengeti

After breakfast drive to the Arusha Airiport to catch a flight to the Northern Serengeti. Your Safari guide will be waiting at the Airstrip in the Northern Serengeti ready to embark on the amazing wildlife adventure. A short orientation after pick up, of the dos and don’t relatively to the park regulations as well as a general introduction of the area and wildlife.Embark of the real adventure drive in search of wildlife sightings across terrains and the variable wildlife localities, the great wildlife migration settles in the Northern Serengeti from the mid-July – October . Lunch provided in your safari vehicle a safari guide collects from the lodge before heading to pick up at the airstrip, lunch in the Bush when it is time after lunch carries on with the drive for a couple of hours.  Dinner & overnight – Nyikani Tented Camp. (Breakfast,Lunch & Dinner Included)

DAY 3: Northern Serengeti

To visit the amazingly beautiful parts of Serengeti Park, plan to start your days earlier as possible, as the park opens at 6:00 am. Wildlife adapted to be most active in cooler temperatures. Leave the camp with the packed breakfast, embark on an adventure to explore the beautiful Africa wilderness. Breakfast in the bush meanwhile exploring the magnificent landscapes and roaming wildlife across the natural setting.After breakfast carries on with the drive to the variable wilderness habitats. Capture the beautiful morning and evening light for stunning photographs. Sunrise and Sunset over the Africa wilderness alongside its flora and fauna gives additional credibility on nature photography. Lunch at the camp after lunch relax a little for a couple of hours in the hot part of the day. Depart again for a drive across the wilderness for a couple of hours when the sun cools down. Dinner & overnight – Nyikani Camp. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Included)

DAY 4: Northern Serengeti – Central Serengeti

Depart after breakfast with packed lunch, explore the array of beautiful landscapes, habitat and variety of wildlife species on the way to Central Serengeti. Driving across the park is fascinating; your safari guide shall keep the well trained eye around to ensure you do not miss out an opportunity of a sighting in the wilderness. Lunch in the wilderness when it is time, after lunch carries on with a drive to the Central Serengeti. Traveling off the beaten path gives an advantage to fascinating sightings of rare species at times.While in the wilderness you would never know what can be found in the next corner as long as you are passionate and adhere with nature respect. Dinner & overnight – Nyikani Tented Camp. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner included)

DAY 5: Central Serengeti

Start your day after an early breakfast to explore the wilderness with good morning light. Central Serengeti is beautiful; the rock outcrops makes a fascinating scenery over the open plains. However, they also provide potential hiding places for cats and their newborn cubs. There are six vegetation zones in the Serengeti ecosystem—open plains, rocky outcrops, riverine habitat, swampy areas, open woodland, and dense woodland—which support a variety of wildlife species. The Great Migration likes concentrating on the open in the rainy seasons, and the riverine habitat of the Mara River at the Serengeti North, when other parts of the park are dry in the dry season from July – October. The great migration is made up of wildebeest, zebra, and antelopes like gazelles, elands, and topi. These wildlife creatures adopted the habit of migrating due to searching for favorable conditions of water and pasture. Lunch at the camp after lunch take a little rest until the sun cools down, then head out again for a late afternoon drive. Most visitors like the colors of the sunset in Africa and appreciate the opportunity to take wildlife pictures with the evening light, and sunset with the fascinating landscapes. Dinner & overnight – NyikaniTented Camp. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner included)

DAY  6: Serengeti – Zanzibar

After your leisurely breakfast depart to the Seronera airstrip to catch a flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival in Zanzibar, our representative shall pick you up from the airport and drive you to the blue moon resort, where you stay for 3 nights. Expect to arrive Zanzibar in the late afternoon; you can opt to relax at the hotel (Blue moon resort) the rest of the day or by the beach. Bed and breakfast basis at the hotel (three nights) and transfer from the airport to the hotel is included in the charges. Overnight – Blue Moon resort. (Bed & breakfast basis.).

DAY  7: Zanzibar

Enjoy your leisurely stay in Zanzibar after your wilderness adventures. The safari package includes accommodations (bed and breakfast); any additional activities, such as snorkeling or diving, can be arranged for an additional cost. Overnight – Blue moon resort. (Bed & breakfast basis.)

DAY  8: Zanzibar

Enjoy your second full day in Zanzibar by exploring spectacular Indian Ocean scenery while relaxing on the beach. Historical Stone Town is about an hour’s drive from Z Hotel. A visit to Stone Town can either  pre-book or booked once at the hotel. USD $ notes with a date release of 2006 or earlier cannot be used in Zanzibar. There is no ATM at Nungwi; cash has to be withdrawn at the airport or Stone Town. However, VISA, MasterCard, and American Express credit cards are accepted. Overnight – Blue Moon resortl. (Bed & breakfast basis.)

DAY 9: Zanzibar – Home

Late afternoon Depart to Zanzibar International Airport to catch the flight back home based on your flight schedule.

WHY IS MY SAFARI MORE EXPENSIVE WITH LESS PEOPLE IN THE GROUP?

Safaris are a mixture of fixed costs for the tour company (JAfrica)  ie staff, vehicle, food, and external costs which come in the shape of accommodation and park fees etc.

When pricing a safari we divide our fixed cost by the number of people in the safari truck to work out a cost per PAX, then we add on the accomodation and park fees.

This means that the fixed costs are shared by the people travelling, so the more people in the group, the less the individual is required to pay. If you have any quieries regarding this or anything else about your safari trip to Africa please feel free to contact us.

- KNOWLEDGE: His intelligence about the park and animals is extraordinary, and he has a "sixth sense" on where and when to find them, even the most elusive! He knew the answer to every question we asked him about the animals and we -- both the teens and the adults in our group -- learned more than we ever could have imagined. This was my 4th African safari and by far my most favorite!

- GEAR: JAfrica's safari vehicle is very comfortable and it outfitted with everything one could need, including a charging station, guide books, a cooler of cold drinks, and so much more. Joshua's camera was far better than our own and he helped us to capture images on a memory card he gave to us that we will treasure forever.

- AUTHENTICITY: At our request, he helped us to plan a safari that was a true Tanzanian experience; other operators who proposed itineraries seemed to pitch only the properties with surface-level gloss; Joshua had recommendations that were lesser known gems; just what we were looking for but could not have found without him!

- HOSPITALITY: Joshua went above and beyond to ensure that we were taken care of at every step of our time in Tanzania -- from the moment we landed at the Kilimanjaro airport until the moment we left to return home. - FLEXIBILITY: When our arrival in Tanzania was nearly 3 days delayed due to an unexpected delay in our COVID test results, the itinerary we'd planned so carefully with Joshua was affected. But Joshua jumped in to the rescue. While we were (finally!) en route to JRO from the US, he made dozens of calls to properties and local airlines on our behalf to help us modify our plans and make up for the time we had lost. We could never have accomplished this without JAfrica; it required a trusted partner on the ground with established and mutually respectful business relationships, who was fluent in Swahili, and who was looking out for our best interests.

- TEAM: Joshua is amazing, and his team is also. This includes his business partner and brother, Moses, who took very good care of us pre-safari. His team member, Richard, served as our excellent driver and guide in Karatu post-safari. Everyone on the JAfrica team is top notch.

- FRIENDSHIP: It was impossible not to become fast friends with Joshua immediately and, over the course of our time together, he became a dear friend.

  Olé & Josh use their vast knowledge & skills amassed from growing up in in Tanzania & previously working for Safari Companies and their own connections in both these other... read more companies & in their own considerable connections in both East Africa and throughout Southwest and South Africa! Having both formal education at the college & University level, and they are both Masai Warriors on top of all that! Their ability to navigate with amazingly prepared vehicles into The Ngorongoro to find not only beautiful Elephants, Giraffes, Cheetahs,Gazelles and their young, but watching the Great migration in various settings from dawn to dusk is something that my wife and I shall never forget! It was the trip of a lifetime! In the Serengeti we had a most wonderful breakfast surrounded by Wildebeests & Zebrasunder a Beautiful Acacia Tree! Unbelievable, and yet it happened! When no one could find the elusive Leopard, Josh and Olé tracked a morning kill/ carcass in a tree. Later, that afternoon, they found the Leopard resting in a nearby tree that we were not only able to photograph her, but photo her quite close!
From Hippos to crocodiles, Topi’s, Oryxes, Warthogs, Rhinos, and the King of the Beasts, the Lion and many Prides, including a mating!It has almost been too much for us to take all this wondrous experience in! From the time we were met by Olé at the Nairobi Airport to taking us to the Boma hotel, to the Sweetwater Campsite where we began seeing these magnificent animals and birds. We experienced first class treatment, fantastic food and wonderful support staff whose only goal was our well being and comfort in the middle of Kenya, Ansil Samburu, Ngorongoro (Ndutu) Conservation Area along with Mgubani Camps at both Ndutu and the Serengeti. I am amazed at how much planning and work must have gone into this by Olé and Josh. Glitches happen all the time during a 14 day evolution, but if any problems occurred, I do not know about it, as Josh & Olé took care of it. Our ‘ side trip’ into a Masai Village was simply icing on a wonderful tasty cake! A Special surpthat was a memory for the ages and will NEVER be forgotten!

We saw so many animals! What a treat for us. Each park had different aspects that made going to each one worthwhile. Joshua is an excellent guide that can answer ALL your questions. We learned so much from him and loved learning about all the animals and habitat. Joshua's background as a Masai and his education paired with his love and passion for sharing his country makes him an excellent choice for your safari. Joshua also organized rides to and from the airport and was a great host sharing sites around Arusha. We had an excellent trip to see waterfalls, coffee making and a traditional Masai lunch, and he helped us get to my son's soccer games and find ATMs for cash. Joshua and his crew are excellent. Joash Africa was everything we needed in Tanzania and we are so grateful to Joshua for all his hard work on our behalf and sharing his beautiful country. We hope to come back.
